About Us

Affordable Automation uses Microsoft products to save businesses time and money by building well crafted custom designed applications.

Software used:
MS Office(Access, Excel, Word, Outlook, ect), .NET, SQL Server, Access Databases, MS BI SQL Server Tools, and Essbase(not MS product)

What is Essbase?
Essbase is a multi-dimensional database(MDD).  MDD's are used to analyze balances.  Once an Essbase application is developed, it is as simple as pointing and clicking to see the information any way you want to see it.
AA strength in this area is my ability to quickly develop Essbase cubes.  Using Access to massage and transform the data quickly while preparing it to go into Essbase is our strength.  This gives us an ability to reconfigure the cube several times quickly if needed.
One drawback of Essbase is the high cost of the software.  But if you already own the software, maybe AA can help you get more out of your investment.
Why Microsoft Access?
Microsoft Access is a tool that can develop applications quickly and powerfully.  Access has powerful forms and reports.  Access is capable of handling over a million transactions.  Admittedly, Access is a file based system which has it's limits.  But if that is an issue, Access will be used only for the "front end" while, Sql Server will be used as the "back end".  This essentially makes the application a client server application.
AA can build this Access/Sql application with no software cost to you.  Access can always be developed as a "run-time" version which means our customers will not even need Access installed on their pc's.  As far as Sql Server goes, Sql Server has an "Express" edition that is free from Microsoft.  Many times this "Express" edition will suffice.
